POLY-FAST™ fasteners features a cutting washer to create a much-required thermal expansion hole on plastic profiled roofing panels, which is then securely fastened onto the purlin support underneath in one-go. A nominal 11mm diameter thermal expansion hole is created during the process. The cutting washer also functions as stopper when mated with serrated knurls on the shank, preventing screw over-run or over-drive, and squashing of the raised profile. A large domed BAZ with two concentric sealing rims on the washer underside completes the package – the domed structure providing superior strength against high winds, and two concentric sealing rims keeping the expansion hole fully sealed.

WASHER

- Domed Structure: Superior strength against high winds.
- Two Concentric Sealing Rims: Keeps the 11mm expansion hole fully sealed.
Installation Procedure:
- Press drill point onto the corrugation crest.
- Use a lower RPM and tap in quick succession untill the polycarbnate sheet is penetrated and drill point comes in contact with the steel substrate.
- Continue to drill through the steel substrate as you would a standard TEK srew.
- The circular saw will penetrate the polycarbonate sheet and form a perfect expansion hole.
- Stop drilling when the domed EPDM conforms to the corrugation, which forms a weather tight seal.
